Writing an Argumentative Essay
Writing an Argumentative EssayWhat is the key to winning an argumentative essay? Here is a tip that I have been using for the past several years. Some of you may not know it, but in fact, this is an effective way to write an argumentative essay. This key tip is not complex but rather simple. The trick is to start a strong argument, and then use it to support your argument. Often times, people use their evidence to support a particular side, but once they get a strong argument, they do not want to draw attention to it. Here is how to draw attention to it!Now, one of the secrets of writing an argumentative essay is to attack your topic from all angles. There are many great examples of this. Do you remember watching the movie 'Jurassic Park'? Whenever one particular scene showed up, the audience knew what was going to happen next.A lot of the time, when someone is writing an essay about 'the big ideas'the big ideas that changed history', they tend to focus on some huge dinosaurs. However , once the audience has been shown how the dinosaurs will be living in the future, they do not want to see them dead. If they can distract the audience from the dinosaurs, they will still be successful in their argument. When writing an argumentative essay, the audience does not want to hear that you support an idea or perspective, but rather, they want to hear that you support your argument. What is the secret to doing this? Well, it is getting a strong premise that your audience will agree with. Once you have a strong premise, you can continue to build upon it with supporting facts and information.Remember, this is a very important part of any argumentative essay. Just like with any person, if they begin their argument with 'I am,' and then they don't end their argument with 'We are,' they will lose the argument. Here is a very simple tip for writing an argumentative essay. One of the most important parts of writing an argumentative essay is the premise. Without a strong premise, yo u will not be able to support your argument.
